These Terms of Service govern your use of FuneralSongs.co and any orders you place with us. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Us

FuneralSongs.co is a trading name of Cardiff Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 11922695). We create original, personalised memorial songs for individuals and families.

2. Our Service

We create completely original memorial songs based on the personal memories and details you provide. Each song is unique to the person or pet it honours.

Songs are created using professional AI music technology combined with human creative oversight. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this production method.

Delivery times are as stated at the time of purchase: Standard (5 working days) and Rush (48 hours). These are target times and may occasionally be affected by exceptional demand or circumstances beyond our control.

3. Your Order

To place an order, you must complete our questionnaire and submit payment via Stripe. A contract is formed when we confirm receipt of your order by email.

By submitting your order, you confirm that the memories and details you share are your own to share, and that you have the right to commission this song.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in GBP and are inclusive of any applicable VAT. Payment is taken at the time of order via Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

5. Revisions

Every order includes one free revision round. To request a revision, reply to your delivery email within 14 days of receiving your song. Clearly describe what you would like changed.

Revisions are limited to adjustments to the existing song. A complete rewrite or change of subject constitutes a new order.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Because each song is created specifically for you, we begin work immediately upon receiving your order. Your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 is therefore limited once work has begun — however, we offer a guarantee that goes beyond your statutory rights.

Our guarantee: If you are not satisfied with the delivered song, you are entitled to one free revision round. If, after revision, the song still does not feel right, you are entitled to a full refund — no questions asked. To request a revision or refund, email hello@funeralsongs.co within 14 days of delivery.

If you cancel before we have begun work, you are entitled to a full refund. Cancellation requests should be sent to hello@funeralsongs.co as soon as possible after placing your order.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 working days via Stripe.

7. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you are granted a Perpetual, Worldwide, Non-Exclusive Licence for personal, non-commercial use of the delivered song. This includes:

• Playing the song at funerals, wakes, or memorial services
• Including it in personal tribute videos
• Sharing it digitally with family and friends (including sharing on social media as a memorial tribute)
• Keeping it as a personal digital keepsake
• Modifying it for use in personal tribute videos

Not permitted: You may not sell the song, upload it to music streaming services (such as Spotify or Apple Music) for commercial gain, or claim it as your own original musical composition for commercial purposes. Cardiff Media Ltd retains all underlying intellectual property rights in the music and production.

AI Disclosure: By purchasing, you acknowledge that the vocal and instrumental performances in your song are generated using AI technology. While the lyrics, creative direction, and storytelling are curated by our team, there is no human singer or live band involved in the recording. Under current international laws, AI-generated audio may have different copyright status to traditionally recorded music — however, you own the specific audio file delivered to you for the purposes listed above.

8. Your Content

By submitting memories and personal details, you grant us permission to use that information solely for the purpose of creating your song. We will not use it for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cardiff Media Ltd's liability is limited to the amount you paid for your order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
